(P.Hindemith)

Next subscription concert's program consists of two German composer's music.

But these two composers's music are opposite type.

Schumann is one of the representatives of romantic composers.

On the other hand, Hindemith had tried to smash romantic music and had been involved in making new type of music at that time.

Romantic music is generally easy for listening(It doesn't mean it's easy.),

so we probably can understand that it would be great as a classical music.

Meanwhile Himdemith's music had regarded as "decadent" by Nazi regime of those days.

That's why we sometimes feel the world of his music is not easy or unfamilar.

Compare their music to an amusement park...

Schumann is like a house of classical decorated cake.

Hindemith is like a surreal haunted house.

Making an example is not easy for me.

Der Schwanendreher "The Swan turner" by P.Hindemith

This title comes from "You are not the Swan turner, are you?"-3rd movement.

Confusing!
